Entitled Goose v0.1.0 — first public release

A desktop pet goose that owns your desktop. Original flat-vector art and synthesized audio, drawn entirely in code.

Highlights

  • Procedurally animated goose: waddle gait with pinned feet, elastic FABRIK neck, head-stabilized walk, keyframed honks
  • Entitlement Meter: content → miffed → indignant → wrath; honks escalate while you ignore it
  • Focus enforcement: spots YouTube / Instagram / Netflix / TikTok (and friends), walks to the window's close button, honks twice, pecks — tab closed. Blocklist is user-editable.
  • Speech bubble with passive-aggressive phrases (user-editable pool)
  • Judgmental stare, sleep loafing, poke/pet interactions, grudge memory across launches
  • Control panel: live mood meter, mute, polite mode, size slider, phrase editor
  • Transparent click-through overlay with a failsafe — it never blocks real work

Install (macOS)

  1. Download the DMG for your Mac: arm64 (Apple Silicon) or x64 (Intel)
  2. Drag Entitled Goose to Applications and open it
  3. The app is Developer-ID signed but not yet notarized — on first open, right-click the app → Open → Open
  4. Everything lives in the 🪿 menu-bar icon

Focus enforcement will ask for Automation permission on first use (macOS prompt). Deny it and the goose will passive-aggressively tell you to fix it.

Windows

Windows support is in the codebase (PowerShell focus backend, tray icon) but this release ships untested Windows binaries — treat as beta. Feedback welcome.
