Entitled Goose v0.3.0 — the goose updates itself

This is the last version you download by hand: auto-update is here. The app checks GitHub on launch and every 6 hours, downloads silently, and the goose tells you: "a newer, better me exists. restart me when you're ready to be honked at more efficiently." One click in the control panel installs it.

New

  • Auto-update (macOS signed builds; Windows beta) with an Updates row in the control panel
  • Shush for an hour — panel button and tray item. Total quiet; tabs still get closed, just wordlessly. A dying battery is the only thing that revokes it.
  • Phone suspicion — idle mouse for a few daytime minutes and the goose knows: "you're on your phone, aren't you. the computer is RIGHT HERE."
  • Multi-display support — the goose follows your cursor across monitors, sprinting in after you.
  • Control panel restyled to match the landing page; bundled fonts.
  • The landing-page goose is interactive: its neck follows your cursor; click it to honk.

Install (macOS)

Download the DMG and drag to Applications. The app is Developer-ID signed but not yet notarized, so on another Mac Gatekeeper will say it "cannot verify" the app. To open it the first time: try to open the app, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the blocked-app message, and click Open Anyway (macOS Sequoia removed the old right-click trick). This is needed only once — afterwards, updates install themselves in place with no prompts. Windows installer is beta/untested.
