SlamFrames 3.3

Custom Unit, Focus, Pet, Party & Raid Frames for OctoWoW

SlamFrames 3.3 is a major update introducing a custom Focus Frame, expanded Pet Frame functionality, Rogue and Druid combo-point tracking, and numerous improvements to artwork, cast-bar behavior, and configuration.

This release builds on the Party and Raid Frame systems introduced in earlier versions while maintaining compatibility with the Vanilla 1.12-style OctoWoW client.

What's New in 3.3

Custom Focus Frame

A dedicated Focus Frame designed to match the rest of SlamFrames.

  • Custom Light and Dark artwork
  • Adjustable frame scale, width, and height
  • Movable positioning
  • Configurable health text
  • Improved health-bar filling and depletion
  • Dark backing for empty and depleted health
  • Dedicated settings

Both visual themes now share consistent health-bar behavior.

Expanded Pet Frames

Additional functionality and customization for players using pets.

  • Refined Pet Frame artwork and layout
  • Health and resource information
  • Pet status indicators
  • Additional Hunter pet management feedback
  • Independent configuration
  • Light and Dark theme support

Rogue & Druid Combo Points

A new custom combo-point tracking system with independently configurable Player and Target displays.

Player Combo Tracker

  • Five custom combo-point sockets
  • Normal, Rare/Elite, and Boss-inspired artwork
  • Unique Light and Dark designs
  • Illuminated active combo points
  • Adjustable scale and positioning
  • Optional hiding outside Cat Form for Druids

Target Combo Tracker

  • Custom combo-point indicators around the Target portrait
  • Independent scale adjustment
  • Light and Dark artwork
  • Optional ON/OFF setting
  • Replaces the detached Blizzard combo-point display

Both trackers support previews through Test Frames for eligible classes.

Artwork & UI Improvements

  • Refined Light and Dark theme presentation
  • Updated combo-point artwork and alignment
  • Improved frame consistency
  • Additional Focus and Pet customization
  • Cleaner settings organization
  • Improved health-bar backgrounds and rendering
  • Dedicated 1080p and 4K-compatible textures

Cast Bar Improvements

SlamFrames continues to offer two Cast Bar styles:

  • Classic
  • Ornate

Both retain the existing cast progression, timer, interruption, pushback, and channel support.

Additional improvements include:

  • Cleaner world-object and quest-interaction text
  • Reduced unnecessary target-dependent cast descriptions
  • Generic "Using" text for applicable interactions
  • Improved consistency for profession and utility actions

Click Casting Improvements

New characters now begin with clean click-casting defaults.

  • Left, Right, and Middle Click default to Normal
  • No spells or usable items assigned automatically
  • Shift, Ctrl, and Alt combinations start unassigned
  • Existing characters retain their saved bindings

To reset the current character's click-casting assignments:

/sf clickreset

This does not reset the rest of the character's SlamFrames configuration.

Existing Features

SlamFrames 3.3 also includes all major systems from previous releases:

  • Player, Target, and Target-of-Target Frames
  • Party Frames with optional resource bars
  • 5, 10, 15, 20, and 40-player Raid Frames
  • Standard and Compact Raid layouts
  • Click Casting
  • Incoming-heal prediction / HealComm support
  • Main Tank indicators
  • Raid debuff indicators
  • Rare, Elite, and Boss portrait artwork
  • Custom Cast Bars
  • Buff and debuff tracking
  • Configurable aura timers
  • Per-character settings
  • Light and Dark themes

Installation

SlamFrames 3.3 is a complete standalone release. No previous installation is required.

  1. Download SlamFrames-3.3.zip from the release assets below.
  2. Close World of Warcraft.
  3. If updating, delete or move your existing SlamFrames addon folder.
  4. Extract the ZIP into your WoW Interface\AddOns directory.
  5. Launch OctoWoW and enable SlamFrames.

Your final installation path should be:

World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\SlamFrames\SlamFrames.toc

Important: Do not merge the new version into an existing SlamFrames folder. Replace the folder completely to avoid leftover files from older releases.

Existing settings are stored separately in SavedVariables and should remain available.

/sf settings

Use Test Frames to configure frame layouts without needing to join a group or raid.

Compatibility

Developed specifically for:
