Superseded by v0.1.0-preview.7. Preview.6 users can run the matching preview.7 installer directly for an in-place upgrade. Profiles, credentials, models, Sessions, WorkSpaces, and ~/.metapi are preserved.

Highlights

  • Profile switching now preserves the current working directory and WorkSpace while starting a fresh Session context.
  • The previous conversation remains owned by its original Profile and is not inherited by the selected Agent Runtime.
  • Pi Agent and external Agent Runtime Profile switches use the same generic Session replacement path.
  • Added persisted/in-memory Session and WorkSpace regression coverage.

Windows installers

  • MetaPi-Setup.exe: bundled Node.js runtime.
  • MetaPi-Setup-NodeJS.exe: uses an existing system Node.js installation.
  • Windows x64 only; Windows 10 build 19041+ / Windows 11.
  • Installers are not code signed and may show an Unknown publisher or SmartScreen warning.
  • SHA-256 checksums are included in SHA256SUMS.txt.

Other platforms

  • Linux source distribution remains the supported Node.js path and requires Node.js >=22.19.0.
  • Linux DeepSeek Harness requires the native runtime preparation documented in the repository.
  • Linux standalone Bun archive does not support DeepSeek Harness.

This is a preview release. Full real-TUI, installer install/uninstall, Linux ARM64/glibc, and anonymous-download acceptance were not rerun for this release.
