PHI-CTRL-v1.0.0
PHI-CTRL v1.0.0 — Initial Public Release
First public release of PHI-CTRL (Physics-Hybrid Integrity Control): a
fault-tolerant flight control architecture validated on the JSBSim F-16A
6-DOF plant under elevator-effectiveness faults.
What's included
- Baseline energy-hold control law (zero fault knowledge, honest comparison case)
- Hybrid compensator with inverse-multiplicative γ-scaling
- MRAC adaptive layer and MMAE-style effectiveness bank
- Diagnostic (open-loop) observer for sensor bias monitoring
- Optional MMAE-gated PPO residual policy
- Three-layer verification ladder: baseline gates → unified ablations → multi-seed metrics
- Optional FlightGear live visualization path (ICD documented in
docs/)
Status
TRL 4, edge of TRL 5. Simulation software only — not flight-certified, not
DO-178C evidence, no piloted flight test. Full-stack residual is integrated
but not yet shown to outperform the hybrid-only baseline on the published
checkpoint (see docs/TRL_ROADMAP_PHI_CTRL.md).
Data & models
- Fault telemetry: https://huggingface.co/datasets/SM-Bello/PHI-CTRL-F16-Fault-Recovery-Telemetry
- Sample PASSING artifacts included in
artifacts/
