GUI Configuration Guide

SniShaper aims to provide a zero-configuration experience through a modern GUI. Here are the key configuration sections.

1. Main Dashboard

  • Switch Proxy: Clicking "Start Proxy" initiates the local interception engine.
  • System Proxy: When enabled, SniShaper automatically sets the system HTTP/HTTPS proxy.

2. Rule Management

  • Intelligent Priority System: SniShaper uses a scoring algorithm to resolve conflicting rules. In general, Exact Domain > Regex Prefix > Suffix.
  • Mode Switching: For each rule group, you can choose from mitm, tls-rf, quic, migration, etc.
  • Fake SNI: Used to bypass GFW's SNI blacklist blocking by replacing the SNI with an allowed domain (e.g., bing.com).

3. ECH Configuration

  • ECH Mapping: Automatically fetches and stores the echconfig (public name, HPKE config) for target domains.
  • Bootstrap ECH: When enabled, the software uses built-in DoH to query ECH records for unknown domains.

4. Cloudflare IP Pool

  • Edge Acceleration: SniShaper intelligently optimizes its connection by periodically testing various Cloudflare edge IPs.
  • IP Management: You can manually update or clear the IP pool if latency spikes occur.

5. First-Launch Tutorial

  • After selecting the language on first launch, a spotlight tutorial highlights the real UI elements: you actually click the "Start Proxy" and "System Proxy" buttons and are guided past the rules, certificate, and TUN settings.
  • Once finished (or skipped), a flag is written to the registry at HKCU\Software\SniShaper (tutorial_done), so the tutorial does not reappear after an app update.
  • To replay it later: Settings → General → Getting Started → Replay Tutorial. For advanced topics, keep reading this Wiki.

Important

Configuration Persistence: All GUI changes are automatically written to config.json. You do not need to manually edit any files.
