Player Club Private VPN — Wiki

Welcome. Player Club Private VPN (PCP-VPN) is a high-performance, peer-to-peer Gaming Virtual Network: it builds an encrypted virtual LAN between players' machines over the public internet, so LAN-only multiplayer titles work as if everyone were on the same subnet.

The README is a short overview and quick start. This wiki has everything else: the full build status, the complete feature list, a step-by-step user manual, the architecture, and answers to common questions.

Pages in this wiki

  • Project Status — the itemised, ground-truth build status of every subsystem.
  • Features — the full intended feature set, each tagged built / in progress / planned.
  • Getting Started — install prerequisites, build from source, first-run troubleshooting.
  • User Manual — a complete walkthrough of using the app: connecting to peers, hosting a Virtual Network, Diagnostics, settings, and more.
  • Architecture — how the engine, adapter, and UI fit together, plus the repository layout.
  • FAQ — common questions.
  • Legal & Privacy — how the licence, terms, and privacy policy relate, in plain language.

Project status, in one line

Pre-release / alpha. The full peer-to-peer data path (handshake, encryption, NAT traversal, virtual adapter, FEC, split tunneling) runs and is covered by an automated test harness, but real NAT traversal between two physical machines on different networks has not yet been verified. See Project Status for the itemised detail.
