Alpha 17.5 - NextGen checkin countdown shows 00:00 before event time

Description

When waiting for an event to open, the countdown on an iPad shows "Kiosk Will Open in 00:00". When the schedule finally goes active, checkin does open. Only the countdown clock is wrong.

Actual Behavior

When waiting for a checkin schedule to open in NextGen checkin, the countdown on an iPad shows "Kiosk Will Open in 00:00". When the schedule finally goes active, checkin does open correctly. Only the countdown clock is wrong.

Expected Behavior

The countdown clock should show the correct amount of time until the schedule will open.

Steps to Reproduce

• Launch the NextGen checkin app on an iPad.
• Choose a configuration that has a schedule going live in the future.
• See the wrong countdown at the bottom.

Issue Confirmation

• Perform a search on the Github Issues to see if your bug is already reported.
• Reproduced the problem on a fresh install or on the demo site.

@tbunney Were you able to reproduce this on the demo site? I just tried and it correctly shows the countdown. Is it possible the clock on the iPad is wrong, or set to an incorrect time zone or something?

I cannot dupe this on 17.5 alpha.

This is just a test schedule set for 2:30pm today, set to open 3min before start. I also had a browser kiosk open at the same time and it acted exactly the same. Once it hit 00:00 it flipped over to check-in within 1 sec.

Maybe there's a super-specific configuration that triggers the behavior?

@tbunney Got it thanks. It looks like Jim wasn't able to replicate on his 17.5 alpha; if I still can't replicate either than I'll get back with you shortly after RX and see if we can narrow down what might be causing it.

I do know that the "00:00" thing will occasionally happen if clocks are slightly skewed (as in off by a few seconds), or if the Rock server has recently restarted. But in these cases it only shows up for a few seconds rather than being up the entire time.

@cabal95 The countdown is working correctly on 18.0, so I guess you can close this.

Sounds good. If you still experience this after upgrading to 18.0 yourself let us know. That would mean there is something specific to your environment causing it.
