Releases: Staycation44/fretwork
Release list
fretwork v1.2.1
added support for unpacked ARKs with songs.dta metadata
fretwork v1.2
A couple big fixes
- Rebalanced Drums (simple Travel metric works better)
- rb3con files should actually get picked up and parsed even if they aren't explicitly labeled as such
fretwork v1.1.3
Drums note count fix, no metric/calculation changes, just a display issue on the analyze spreadsheet.
Vocals rebalance - simpler calc with potentially better ranking
fretwork v1.1.1
Bug Fix / Error Handling / Fallback Pass
- Vocals note count fixes (some slight changes to rankings from this - needs a cache rebuild to absorb)
- container song handling fixes (write/restore skips, multisong pack handling)
- game-style mid > chart preference
- doc cleanup / metric update
fretwork v1.0
1.0 completes the Build > Analyze > Render pipeline for Plastic Band instruments: 5-fret (Guitar, Co-op, Rhythm, Bass, Keys), Drums, and Vocals, including Easy, Medium, Hard, & Expert.
Updates over initial release
BUILD
- Caches all instruments and difficulties, using parallel processing for much faster builds
- Original song.ini difficulty tags are backed up so they can be restored
ANALYZE
- Outputs a detailed spreadsheet with Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums, Vocals, and Band tabs
- Difficulty writeback & restore (Remap or CalcTier) is supported for all instruments + band, with individual overrides as needed
Render
- All instruments render using their underlying rate metrics & D
- Retrieval codes include level and instrument to differentiate
DOCS
- Methodology.md covers the instrument formulas, Remap tables, and CalcTier approach
- README update with all the new usage details
Rebuild your caches & enjoy!
fretwork v0.9.5
VOCALS
BUILD
Caches vocals into sung notes / talkies / percussion streams
backup original vocal diff ini tag
ANALYZE
Vocals density/formula and new vocals tab for the spreadsheet
Optional diff overrides to allow you to set different write modes or skip instruments from a difficulty tag writeback
RENDER
Vocals renders - Pitch / Syllables / Percussion (when present) + overall D curve
fretwork v0.9
DRUMS!
Drums now works through the entire pipeline, keeps the fast performance from last update
Build - caches everything it needs (recommend a rebuild, since roll spans are required)
Analyze - Adds a new tab to the sheet (1 row per song includes both 1x/2x kick versions), and allows for drum diff write back for game use
Render - Renders all 3 H+T+K metrics for drums, and stacks 1x and 2x on the same graph for songs that have it
Readme & Methodology updated to include the specifics and formula details
fretwork v0.8.2
- Huge performance boost by finally figuring out parallel processing for cache build
- Cache now builds for drums (No Analyze/Render functionality yet)
fretwork v0.8
DOCS
- Methodology.md - contains the D = N x Vx CoV math and Remap tables
- README updated for EMHX functionality
- sources.txt updated for recent CH releases
BUILD
- Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert now caches for all 5 fret instruments
- Terminal output fixes / performance improvements
- parser fixes and timing cleanup (calcs are stable)
ANALYZE
- Supports E/M/H/X with option to filter XLSX from the config (Default all levels, but can pick just Easy, Med+Hard, etc)
- XLSX now drops hidden rows (calculation pieces), option in config to add them back
- Terminal output fixes / performance improvements
- Remap formula updated for an extra decimal for fit
RENDER
- Supports E/M/H/X with new retrieval codes (8 Digits + Level (E/M/H/X) + Instrument (G/C/R/B/K): "33155468XG" for an Expert Guitar song)
fretwork v0.7.1
Extended Expert analysis for 5-Fret (Guitar [Lead, Co-op, Rhythm], Bass, Keys)
Main Changes
- Config: moved timestamp logic to a separate function
- Build: cache & parsers now include all instrument types, performance is pretty similar despite extra data
- Analyze: CSV -> tabbed XLSX with formatting and extra data included but hidden, diff write/restore for all 5-Fret
- Remap binned for official Guitar/Bass/Keys, CalcTier consistent across (but instrument specifics to allow for later tuning)
- Render: supports new codes per instrument
Other Fixes
- Better error messages for cache problems (trying to track down these midi problems... no luck yet)
- Beatles RB now tagged as official
- Terminal output cleanup/formatting
- Updated test run files (Main Games + Spinoffs) & Renders
