Arc Flow v0.2.4

Safer sessions. Updates you can trust.

Dictation stays with the right session

  • Rapid hotkey presses no longer mix Normal, Command, or Notes sessions.
  • Stopping during microphone startup now cancels cleanly.
  • Switching windows while speaking will not send an older result to the new target.
  • Late events from a finished session are ignored instead of changing the current island state.

More dependable Command Mode

  • Arc Flow now confirms that selected text was actually copied before processing it.
  • An empty selection can no longer reuse older clipboard text by mistake.
  • Slow applications get a little more time to complete the copy.
  • Your original clipboard content is restored when Arc Flow finishes.

Better clipboard protection

  • Paste operations are coordinated so overlapping sessions cannot interfere with each other.
  • Arc Flow retries when another app briefly holds the clipboard.
  • Anything you copy during insertion is left untouched.
  • If insertion fails, your transcript remains available instead of showing a false success.

A steadier dictation island

Clear state, even during fast actions

  • Ctrl + Win feedback no longer replaces an active recording, processing state, error, or copy popup.
  • Old timers and events cannot hide or overwrite a newer session.
  • Empty AI cleanup responses now fall back to your original transcript, so your words are never lost.

A more reliable updater

Mandatory updates are harder to miss

  • Arc Flow now respects the minimum supported version as well as the mandatory-update flag.
  • A required update brings the main window forward, even when Arc Flow is running from the tray.
  • Update checks retry automatically after temporary connection problems.
  • A visible status lets you retry when Arc Flow cannot reach the update service.

Easier support and diagnostics

  • Your exact build number now appears at the top of Help.
  • Settings > Debug shows the same build number and includes it in copied diagnostics.
  • Every new app log starts with the installed build version, making issue reports easier to identify.
  • Logs rotate automatically when the app updates or the file grows too large.

Small fixes, calmer everyday use

  • Home history refreshes after a transcript is copied from the no-target popup.
  • Update checks are shared across the app to avoid duplicate background requests.
  • Session and clipboard safeguards run only when needed, keeping Arc Flow light while idle.
