StreamDek Mobile v0.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Jun 21:12

What’s New

This update focuses on a cleaner home experience, smoother detail pages, better collection support, and more reliable playback preparation.

Home Screen Cleanup and Improvements

The home screen is now more focused, with less noise and better handling of built-in and custom rows.

Collections Are Better Integrated

Imported collections can now behave like proper home folders and categories, and collection rows no longer get stuck on skeleton loading after import. Collection visibility is also easier to manage from within the app.

Trakt Recommendations in Default Catalogs

Trakt recommendations are now part of the default home catalogs. If the active user profile has a connected Trakt account, the recommendations row can appear as a built-in home section. If Trakt is not connected, it stays hidden automatically.

Smarter Continue Watching

The most recently played movie or series now appears first in the Continue Watching row.

Smoother Media Detail Loading

Hero image, title logo, cast, and other metadata now appear in a smoother, more unified way instead of loading in choppy pieces.

Cleaner Light Mode Detail Pages

Gradients were removed from both Classic and Centered detail page styles in light mode for a cleaner presentation.

Refined Centered Detail Visuals

The frosted or glassy half-dome blur at the bottom of the hero image was removed, and the extra frosted backing behind the centered title logo was cleaned up as well.

More Consistent Trailer Behavior

When you tap the trailer button, the popup trailer now uses the same source already selected for the hero trailer instead of switching to a different source unexpectedly.

More Reliable Stream Loading

Fixed a race condition that could cause stream loading to keep spinning until you backed out and re-entered the page. Streams should now spool correctly on the first try much more consistently.

Less Intrusive Update Prompts

Update popups no longer appear on the splash screen or profile selector. They now only show after the user is inside the main app, and only after about 3 seconds on an eligible screen like Home, Search, or Media Detail.

Simpler Settings Navigation

The Manage Profiles row was removed from Settings. Profile management is now meant to happen through the profile switcher flow.

@github-actions github-actions released this 15 Jun 20:56

StreamDek Mobile v0.1.2

This release focuses on home screen customization, cleaner settings flows, better stream result presentation, and faster, more reliable playback behavior.

What's New

  • Dedicated settings pages for Catalog & Home Layout, Continue Watching, and Page Style, replacing the older inline drawer and picker flows.
  • A boxed, scrollable Catalog layout editor with improved spacing above the floating navigation and a cleaner sectioned presentation.
  • Built-in app catalogs now support a master on/off toggle plus a single-provider choice between Cinemeta and TMDB.
  • Default home rows are now clearly labeled with an SD - prefix, and provider-specific rows refresh correctly when switching between Cinemeta and TMDB.
  • Continue Watching settings now use a standalone visual card selector with improved layout and restored styling.
  • Page Style now has its own dedicated screen with larger, more recognizable home-style preview cards.
  • Addons settings now display addon logos more reliably and show each addon URL beneath its description.
  • Stream results in the mobile app now preserve addon-provided formatting instead of reformatting the text in-app.
  • StreamDek Ultra result formatting has been improved to better match the richer, structured visual style used in the latest design.
  • Fusion badges have been restored across stream result views, including main result lists and in-player source selection sheets.
  • Home and browse surfaces have been updated to keep network rows and built-in catalog rows loading correctly after provider and layout changes.
  • Stream ranking now pushes actively cached debrid results to the top before other scoring rules are applied.
  • Live channel playback startup has been tuned to begin faster with lower initial playback buffering.
  • Movie replay is more reliable again: StreamDek now remembers and reselects the last working source more consistently when replaying a title.

Highlights

This update significantly improves how users personalize the home experience. Home layout editing is now easier to understand, built-in catalogs are more controlled, and key visual settings each have their own focused page instead of being crowded into shared drawers.

Playback and stream usability also received meaningful upgrades. Stream rows now respect provider formatting, Fusion badges are visible again, live channels start faster, and replaying a movie is better at returning to the last source that actually worked.

✨ New Features

Addon catalogs on your Home screen

  • Catalog rows from your installed addons now actually load and display on the Home screen (previously they only appeared in Home Layout settings but never rendered).
  • Cleaner row titles: redundant addon-name prefixes are dropped and long titles are intelligently shortened.
  • The "Addon" badge has been removed from catalog rows for a cleaner look.

Live & sports streaming

  • Live content from addons (sports, live TV channels, events) now shows up as catalog rows on Home.
  • Tapping a live card takes you straight into the player — no detail page, no source picking.
  • The player now has a proper live mode: a LIVE indicator replaces the seek bar and timestamps, and live streams no longer trigger the "source too short" auto-switch.

Debrid catalogs play instantly

  • Items from your debrid cloud/download catalogs (TorBox, Real-Debrid, Premiumize, AllDebrid, and others) now play immediately when tapped — the app fetches the direct debrid link from the owning addon instead of opening the detail page and searching all your sources.
  • Catalogs published under the "other" content type (common for debrid cloud listings) are now supported.

Fusion badges: choose your active import

  • With two or more badge imports, you can now pick which one is used for matching (previously this required three).
  • The selector is now a clear "Set Active" / "Active" button instead of an unlabeled icon.
  • Your active selection syncs across mobile, TV, and the web control center.

🚀 Performance

Smooth scrolling on the Streams tab

  • The streams list on the media detail page now renders in pages (with a "Show more sources" button) instead of mounting hundreds of rows at once.
  • Stream rows are no longer rebuilt every time a new addon responds during loading.
  • Stream metadata parsing and badge matching now run once per stream instead of on every scroll frame.

Smarter source searches

  • Live/sports addons are no longer queried when looking for movie or series streams (and vice versa), so searches finish faster and the source filter tabs only show relevant addons.
  • Source counts ("Searching N addons…") now reflect only the addons that can actually serve the title.

🐛 Fixes

  • Fixed a freeze/crash when scrolling stream lists with an active badge import selected. A badge pattern could lock up the app (catastrophic regex backtracking); patterns are now time-budgeted and automatically disabled if they misbehave, and match results are cached.
  • Animated badge icons no longer overwhelm the device — badges render as efficient static images.
  • Fixed addon catalog requests failing silently due to missing addon URLs and incorrect proxy paths.
  • Clarified badge source status wording: "Loaded" now indicates a source fetched successfully, so "Active" only ever refers to your selected import.

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 May 18:24

This update focuses on settings polish, playback reliability, stream ranking, responsiveness, and overall smoothness across the app.

Playback and stream handling

  • Fixed automatic Play / Continue stream selection so preferred quality and max file size are now applied consistently across the app.
  • Fixed the 4K quality preference path so 4k results can rank correctly instead of being treated inconsistently.
  • Changed the default max file size to Unlimited for new/default users, so large streams are not filtered out unless the user chooses a limit.
  • Improved stream ordering so visible stream lists follow the selected preferred quality more reliably.
  • Fixed MPV/Play handoff issues where direct Play could fail even though tapping a stream manually worked.
  • Restored stronger fallback behavior for autoplay and resolution so playback is more reliable across stream types.
  • Added cancellation support to direct stream resolving, so users can dismiss a long-running resolving popup instead of being trapped in it.

Home screen and perceived performance

  • Improved initial Home load with faster cached-first behavior.
  • Reduced duplicate startup work and unnecessary refreshes.
  • Home rows now update more progressively instead of waiting on too much work at once.
  • Fixed Cinemeta New Movies and New Series rows so they load correctly again.

  • Restored the Networks row in Cinemeta mode.

Settings performance and structure

  • Settings was reworked into a lighter top-level shell with dedicated detail pages.
  • Settings interactions now feel more immediate, with reduced blocking work and lighter picker behavior.
  • Switch Profile now opens directly instead of relying on the slower old navigation path.
  • Restored About and Legal, and moved them to the main Settings page under a dedicated About StreamDek section.
  • About now shows the current app version inline on the main page.
  • Restored Refresh Sync and kept it under the account area.

Settings and UI polish

  • Fixed missing icons in light mode for key settings rows.
  • Fixed floating bottom nav appearance on Settings so the glassy treatment is preserved.
  • Improved selection state visibility across settings in both light and dark mode.
  • Restored proper skeletal previews for page style and continue watching style options.

  • Added device-aware tuning for lower-end hardware paths to help smoothness and reduce unnecessary work.

Internal compatibility
