Final release of the C-based ETC engine (gsetc.c / gsetc_omp.c). Development from here on moves to the pure-Python engine (v2.0).

Changes since v1.5.1

Build fixes only — no changes to ETC/simulator behavior:

  • Fix macOS build with GCC 16 and pin numpy<2.5 (#41)
  • Respect user-supplied CC in Makefile.omp; remove dead CC ?= gcc assignment (#41)
  • Make uv sync rebuild the C executables when build inputs change (#42)
  • README updates for GCC autodetection, CC override, and the numpy<2.5 pin
