DS5 Bridge 1.7.1 improves wake behavior, Audio Haptics reliability, polling accuracy, and persona switching.
Fixes and improvements
- Reworked Wake PC on Controller using a dedicated wake receiver mode.
- Wake mode no longer enumerates a ghost controller while the Bridge is waiting for the physical controller to reconnect.
- The Bridge remains online and visible in the companion app whenever it is plugged in, including while waiting for a controller.
- Added clearer status indicators for wake readiness, Bridge-only availability, and normal connected operation.
- Fixed Audio Haptics failing after a game used classic rumble.
- Corrected polling intervals across supported host personas, removing unintended 250 Hz caps and honoring the selected 250 Hz, 500 Hz, or 1,000 Hz rate.
- Corrected DualSense Edge polling-rate refresh behavior.
- Significantly reduced persona-switch times by removing audio endpoint and haptics shutdown stalls.
- Refined the Kitsune Input promotion's readability, feature ordering, controller-support messaging, and theme contrast.
Update the companion app and Pico firmware together for the best experience.
Important: Only flash the Waveshare firmware if you have a Waveshare RP2350B-Plus-W board. Standard Pico 2 W users must use the standard firmware build.
