OpenChatMix 2.7.0

All four of GG's channels: the Aux group joins Game, Chat and Media.

Highlights

  • Aux group. A second group like Media, as the Aux channel of SteelSeries Sonar. Turn it on in
Settings → Audio → Aux group, then move apps into it from any group page. Its apps ignore ChatMix and get
their own volume slider and level meter on the Mixer tab.
  • With or without virtual cables. Without them OpenChatMix sets the volume of Aux apps, and the group can
play on a device of its own (Settings → Audio → Audio routing). In virtual device mode Aux takes a virtual
cable of its own, apart from Media's, and gets its own channel on the Equalizer tab with Sonar's Aux
presets and its own plugins. Without a cable it plays with Game.
  • The rest comes along. A Mute aux hotkey and the Aux equalizer in app profiles.

Media and Aux both stay off until you turn them on, so nothing changes for Game and Chat. Thanks to
@HaYToKoRaZ for asking in #8.
The full list is in CHANGELOG.md.

Upgrading

  • Earlier versions find this one on their own once a day (Settings → Updates), download it, check it
against SHA256SUMS.txt and restart. You can also replace OpenChatMix.exe by hand.
  • Your settings carry over.

Files

  • OpenChatMix.exe: the app, portable.
  • OpenChatMix-2.7.0-win-x64.zip: the app with both READMEs, the license and the third-party notices.
  • DeepFilterNet-OpenChatMix.dll: the optional AI noise suppression plugin, built from tools/deepfilter.
  • DeepFilterNet-NOTICES.txt: the licenses of DeepFilterNet and the Rust crates inside the plugin.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums.

The binaries are not code-signed, so SmartScreen may ask for confirmation on the first run, and some
antivirus programs may flag a new, unsigned program; these are false positives. Compare the files with
SHA256SUMS.txt, read the source code or build them yourself. Third-party code (RNNoise, the VST 3 SDK
interfaces, DeepFilterNet in the plugin) is listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
