Important! If you are using tools for the first time, please read Beginner's guide and AlienFX-GUI readme to configure out its concept and operation principle.

Fan-SDK_V1.zip have binaries built against older fan control version, use it only in case you know what you're doing (or have Aurora R7), check readme file inside archive first to configure out how to make it working!

Changes into this release:

All tools:

  • Tools now will be installed into user's AppData, not Program files, to avoid Administrator request during installation.

All fan control tools:

  • DPTF (ESIF) sensor names retrieval disabled - it doesn't work with modern Intel drivers, so only provide errors into the system log. I turn it back on, then configure out how to do it with new drivers. All tools smaller as a result.

All GUI tools:

  • New: Power mode switch by keyboard shortcut (including G-mode switch) now provide notification pointing to what power mode in action (added by user request).
  • New: CapsLock blink logic altered as well:
    • Number of blinks now is the exact number of the power mode (counting from 1 as Manual).
    • G-mode blinks +1 more time than last power mode available.
  • Bug fixed: Tray icon can disappear at some systems after reboot.

AlienFX GUI:

  • New: Feature added at the Settings tab - lights can be turned off by timer.
    • Lights turning off delay (in seconds) can be set at the same tab.
    • Mouse move/click/key press turn lights back on.
    • Please DO NOT use BIOS-related lights time-out as it provide a lot of issues not so easy to resolve.
  • Bug fixed: In case zone have lights from more, then one grid, grid switched to first by mistake then zone edited. Now zone stay on selected until switched by user.
