🚀 RouterPilot v2.2.0

RouterPilot v2.2.0 is a major update focused on better client visibility, more accurate device identification, improved DNS statistics, Tailscale monitoring, and expanded router health information.

🖥️ Improved Clients

  • Significantly improved client discovery and device identification.
  • Added Known Clients alongside the normal live client view.
  • Improved device naming using router, DHCP, mDNS, and AdGuard information.
  • Added mDNS-based identity enrichment for supported devices.
  • Added MAC manufacturer lookup and improved handling of private/randomized MAC addresses.
  • Improved online/offline state handling.
  • Added client filters for:
    • Devices without an IP address
    • Unknown devices
    • Online devices only
    • Favourites
  • Added clearer Showing X of Y clients counts.
  • Improved refresh, selection, sorting, and search behaviour.
  • Prevented generic operating-system names such as Windows or Android from being incorrectly presented as device names.

🛡️ Improved AdGuard Home & DNS Statistics

  • Improved matching between router clients and AdGuard Home DNS activity.
  • Improved IPv4, IPv6, hostname, MAC, and endpoint normalization.
  • More accurate per-client query and blocked-query statistics.
  • RouterPilot now distinguishes between genuine zero DNS activity and DNS statistics that are unavailable.
  • Clients whose DNS traffic bypasses AdGuard Home are no longer incorrectly shown as having zero DNS activity.

RouterPilot can only display DNS activity that is visible to AdGuard Home. VPN DNS policies, direct encrypted DNS, or another DNS path may bypass AdGuard and therefore cannot be included in these statistics.

  • Added read-only Tailscale information to the VPN section.
  • View Tailscale connection status.
  • View device and Tailscale IP information.
  • View DNS and version information.
  • View available peer information.
  • Designed to work through RouterPilot's existing router connection without requiring Tailscale cloud credentials.
  • RouterPilot does not modify your Tailscale configuration.
