Intention

Explain why the admin edit form shows the “already started” warning for a notification even though a student (target user) has not opened the notification page, and propose a safe, minimal change so the admin warning reflects actual delivery/read state rather than only a time comparison.

Resolution Attempt

I implemented the simple time‑comparison check currentTime > notification.startTime in the admin form. That correctly flags notifications whose start time is in the past, but it also shows the warning even when no user has yet received or seen the notification. I’m confused because previously a shown flag controlled whether the warning appeared; now that the UI uses only the time comparison, the warning appears prematurely.

Also I noticed in the table read_notifications as well the records gets inserted when the notification is read by the student / instructor.
So I was thinking either we can keep the shown field as it is or check if the notification is in the read_notification table with id and show warning on the basis of that.
