What's included

Bug Fixes:

  • fix the issue, where Windows defender flags the app's exe as a trojan virus, by changing packaging from --onefile to --onedir. This means, that the installation process changed from previous versions! Read the updated installation instructions!

New Features:

  • Native multi-profile support - saved presets are now real, switchable profiles inside the game's own mods/profiles/ folder, instead of copies kept on the side. Switching profiles in the app now mirrors what the game's internal modloader will do from game version 2.0 onwards.
  • Profiles now carry a display name - every profile the app creates or saves is tagged with its name, in accordance to the new syntax included by update 2.0 of the game, so it shows up and is recognized correctly once the game ships its own mod manager in the future.

Installation

  1. Download the latest Anno117ModManager.zip from the Releases page.
  2. Extract it anywhere - Anno 117 Mod Manager.exe and the _internal folder next to it belong together, so keep the extracted folder intact.
  3. Double-click Anno 117 Mod Manager.exe to launch. No installation needed.

For users, that experienced continued "First startup"/"Moved Documents Folder" behaviour, it might be necessary to delete the settings.json from the %appdata%/Roaming/Anno 117 Mod Manager folder and do one last "First startup".

Known limitations

  • Windows only for the packaged exe. Linux users can run from source - see the README. Linux users, please report back if the app is working natively on Linux as I couldn't test it.
  • Localisation might have issues with too long texts for certain windows/buttons. Readjust the window size to resolve and please report back for fixing. If you are a native speaker, please have a look at the language files and contribute wrong/incomplete localisation.
