Introduction

This page describes the current state of the project and where it aims to be in the future.

The latest updates will be added to the top of the following list with the date on which the update was written.

Phoenix was created by Tawa in mid-2022 as a proof-of-concept while working on the Architecture and Modularization of the iOS Project at HelloFresh.

It was presented to and accepted by the iOS team. It was adopted as the tool that helps the team generate and maintain their Swift Packages.

More features were added over time, like generating Demo Apps and the Mentions panel.

As of today

The project is lacking a lot of documentation and would require contributors to dive into the code to understand how the app works on the low level.

Unit Test coverage needs a lot of improvement.

1 UI Test is used to validate the core functionality of the Editor. The test can be found here.

What next?

  • Documentation will be added to the README files of the Swift Packages to clarify the responsibilities of said packages.
  • Unit Test coverage will be improved by adding Mock packages to the Components and adding tests to cover more code.
