AquaLevel v1.0 Release Notes

Initial Stable Release (March 22, 2025)

This marks the first stable release of AquaLevel, providing a complete water tank monitoring solution.

What's Included

• Complete ESP32-based system with HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor support
• Responsive web dashboard with real-time water level visualization
• WiFi connectivity with fallback Access Point mode
• User calibration system for empty and full states
• Tank parameter configuration (dimensions, volume, alerts)
• Reading smoothing algorithm for stable measurements
• Persistent settings stored in EEPROM
• High and low water level alerts

Technical Notes

• Default pin configuration: GPIO 1 (Trigger), GPIO 3 (Echo)
• Measurement interval: 5 seconds (configurable from 1-60 seconds)
• Smoothing default: 5 readings (configurable from 1-50)
• Default alert thresholds: 10% (low), 90% (high)

• Fixed smoothing buffer memory allocation issue
• Implemented dynamic measurement interval
• Added proper alert state tracking to prevent repeated alerts
• Optimized WiFi reconnection logic
• Improved web interface with dark mode design
• Added one-click calibration buttons to dashboard
