Configuration

All settings live in one file: config/statusmod/config.json (in your instance or server folder). You can edit it with any text editor while the game is stopped – or use /status config reload after editing while running.

The most useful settings

  • defaultColor – the color new statuses get (e.g. "white")
  • statusCooldownSeconds – how long players wait between changes (anti-spam)
  • statusHistorySize – how many old statuses /status history remembers
  • adminOpLevel – which operator level may use admin commands (default 2)
  • enableAutoAfk / afkTimeoutSeconds – automatic AFK status after being idle (e.g. 300 = 5 minutes)

Player data (you normally never touch these)

  • players.json – statuses, colors and settings per player
  • muted_players.json / blocked_players.json – mutes and blocks
  • custom_presets.json – saved presets

Everything is stored as plain text (JSON). If a file ever gets corrupted, the mod automatically restores a backup and keeps running – you won't lose the server over it.

Dashboard connection

Three fields connect the server to the Dashboard – they fill themselves in during setup, so leave them alone unless you know what you are doing:

  • dashboardUrl, serverId, apiKey
