Mining pool integration (important)

FlashCoin v0.1.3 introduces strict consensus rules for block rewards.
If your pool does not build the coinbase transaction correctly, all blocks will be rejected.

1. Block reward rules

At the consensus level, every block must follow these rules:

• Block subsidy: currently 5 FLASH per block (before halvings).

• Total block reward:
  coinbase_output_total = block_subsidy + transaction_fees

• Founder reward:
  Exactly 10% of the block subsidy (not including fees) must be paid to:

  On the current subsidy (5 FLASH), this is:

  • 0.5 FLASH to the founder
  • 4.5 FLASH + fees to the miner / pool

2. What your pool must do

When building the coinbase transaction, your pool software must:

1. Compute the block subsidy (currently 5 FLASH).
2. Compute the total reward:
   total_reward = subsidy + tx_fees.
3. Create a coinbase transaction whose total outputs sum to total_reward.
4. Include one output that:
   • Pays exactly 10% of the subsidy to
     fl1q2uapupfnguw4tlvn75w0hh4enr6g3xjgrl7mum.
5. Pay the remaining amount (subsidy minus founder reward, plus fees) to the pool/miner address.

If your pool ignores the node’s coinbase template and builds its own coinbase, you must update your coin template / payout logic to respect these rules.

3. Common error messages

If the pool is misconfigured, the node will reject blocks with errors like:

• bad-cb-amount
  → The total coinbase outputs do not equal subsidy + fees.

• bad-fndr-missing
  → The coinbase does not contain an output to the founder address.

• bad-fndr-amount
  → There is a founder output, but the amount is not exactly 10% of the subsidy.

Until the pool is updated to build a correct coinbase transaction, no blocks from that pool will be accepted by the FlashCoin network.

1. Founder / Dev Reward (10%)

A fixed founder reward has been added at the consensus level:

• From each block:
  • Miner receives:
    • 90% of the block subsidy
    • 100% of the transaction fees
  • Dev wallet receives:
    • 10% of the block subsidy
• The logic guarantees:
  • minerAmount + devReward == totalReward
  • No consensus violation: total block reward is preserved.
• If the dev address is invalid for any reason, 100% of the reward goes to the miner as a fallback.

This ensures ongoing funding for development while keeping miners properly incentivized.

2. Default Seed Node

A public seed node has been hardcoded into the network parameters to improve initial connectivity for new nodes and wallets:

• Seed node: 75.86.96.101
• Default mainnet port: 17554

New nodes can now discover peers without requiring manual addnode entries in flashcoin.conf.

3. Coinbase Reward Structure Cleanup

The coinbase transaction logic has been updated to cleanly separate:

• blockReward → block subsidy
• fees → transaction fees
• totalReward = blockReward + fees

On top of this:

• The founder reward is calculated as 10% of the subsidy only.
• The miner output is adjusted accordingly.
• A second output is added for the dev wallet with the computed founder reward.

If anything goes wrong with the dev destination (invalid address, etc.), the miner receives the full totalReward.

4. Version Bump

• Client version updated to v0.1.2.
• The new version is visible in:
  • getnetworkinfo → subversion field
  • GUI “About” dialog in FlashCoin Core

2️⃣ Updated About Dialog for FlashCoin

The About dialog has been customized to show FlashCoin-specific information instead of generic Bitcoin Core text.

It now includes:

• Client name and full version: FlashCoin Core x.y.z
• A short description of the project:

  FlashCoin is an experimental, open-source digital currency focused on very fast confirmations.

• Core consensus parameters:
  • ⏱ Target block time: 3 seconds
  • 💰 Initial block reward: 5 FLASH
  • 🔁 Subsidy halving interval: 5,000,000 blocks
• A clear “as is” disclaimer about software usage and risk.
• License information rendered as HTML, with:
  • URLs automatically turned into clickable links
  • Newlines converted to <br> for better readability

The same information is also available in plain text form for -version / console usage.

A new PowerShell script has been added to streamline Windows wallet packaging:
