Codex Meter can now show what actually used your local Codex activity—not just the total.

What is new

  • Per-model token breakdown from local Codex session records
  • Automatic API-equivalent estimates using dated official OpenAI standard prices
  • USD, AUD and EUR display currencies with dated ECB reference rates
  • Model shares and costs directly in the native popover
  • CLI history schema v2 with model, pricing and currency metadata
  • Honest unknown-model handling with optional local fallback rates

Still private by design: no analytics, no uploaded history, no pricing request at runtime, and no extra account.

Important: cost figures are API-equivalent estimates, not ChatGPT subscription charges. Request-level adjustments such as long context, regional processing, priority, batch, flex, cache writes and tool calls cannot be inferred from aggregate local logs.
