Codex Meter 1.5.0 — Real Account Hot Swap

Codex Meter account switching now controls both the meter and, when you choose it, the Codex desktop app through OpenAI’s documented authentication flow.

What’s new

• The current profile now sits beside Refresh with your account name and a clear down arrow.
• Selecting another profile asks whether to switch Meter only or Meter + Codex.
• Meter + Codex closes Codex, calls the official account/logout method, opens OpenAI’s secure browser login, waits for completion, verifies the signed-in account, and relaunches Codex.
• Passwords, SSO secrets, MFA codes, access tokens, and auth.json are never read or copied by Codex Meter.
• Open Codex now uses the supported codex://settings link plus bundle-ID and application-path fallbacks.
• Delete Account works for active and inactive saved profiles, including stale entries whose folder is already missing.
• Banked resets now show OpenAI’s real rateLimitResetCredits.availableCount value, with an honest unavailable state when the field is absent.

Codex Meter 1.4.0 — Account Cleanup + Desktop Handoff

Codex Meter now makes multi-account management clearer and safer.

What’s new

• Delete saved Meter accounts you no longer use, with a native confirmation first.
• The default Codex profile stays protected and cannot be deleted.
• Deleting a profile removes only its local Codex Meter credentials and usage data. It never deletes your OpenAI account.
• A new “Switch in Codex…” action opens the Codex desktop app for its official profile-menu sign-out/sign-in flow.
• Clearer account labels explain that Meter profiles and the Codex desktop app keep separate login sessions.

Why the desktop handoff?
Codex does not currently publish a supported API or deep link for another app to replace the desktop app’s signed-in account. Codex Meter will not copy passwords, inject session tokens, or automate security prompts. The dropdown still swaps the account used by Meter and its isolated Codex CLI session; desktop switching stays in Codex itself.
