- More robust popup status check: the ping goes only to the top frame (
frameId: 0), which answers
via callback and promise, so silent sub-frames can never be taken as the answer with
promise-based messaging (Safari, Firefox). A "Not a Fabric page" report in Safari turned out to
be a half-loaded extension (see the Safari notes in the installation guide), not this.
Install: download fab-mask-1.4.2.zip, unzip, then Load unpacked in chrome://extensions / edge://extensions (developer mode) – see docs/installation.md.
