UnleashedCreativity Lights 2026.03
๐ 2026.03 - UnleashedCreativity Lights
This oneโs out in the wild.
UnleashedCreativity Lights 2026.03 delivers a focused lighting package for VESC Express ESP32-C3 accessories, built around Refloat RT integration, smarter CAN node behavior, and a cleaner master/slave lighting model. Less clutter, tighter control, better lighting behavior. โก
๐ Whatโs New
- ๐ New Refloat RT API integration for lighting control
- ๐๏ธ Lighting behavior is now driven directly from Refloat
- ๐ Master-only Refloat discovery and polling, with forwarded state for peers/slaves
- ๐ง Simplified node model with just Master and Slave roles
- ๐พ Slave nodes now store pushed configuration with CRC-checked persistence
- ๐ฏ Target LED outputs by SELF (-1) or specific peer CAN-ID for daisy-chain layouts
- ๐ Advanced lighting patterns and states including Cylon & Rainbow
- ๐ก Optimized for minimal CAN traffic during normal operation
โ๏ธ Under the Hood
- Master is the single source of truth for configuration across nodes
- Slave UI is streamlined so it clearly follows the active master configuration
- Runtime startup is staged so CAN role election settles before LED output starts
- Compatibility and persistence handling were tightened up with config restore/default logic and CRC validation
- Includes safeguards around stale state, forwarded Refloat status, and LED watchdog/restart behavior
- Terms-of-service acceptance and device checks are built into the package UI for safer deployment
๐ Before You Update
- Built for VESC Express / ESP32-C3 hardware
- Requires VESC firmware 6.05 or newer
- This package is intended for CAN-connected lighting accessories used with Refloat
- If youโre running multiple nodes, configure the layout around the new Master / Slave model
- Slave nodes follow the master and receive pushed configuration automatically
๐ Bug Reports
Found something off? File an issue with reproducible steps, your hardware/setup details, expected behavior, and what actually happened. Logs, screenshots, and CAN/node context will help a lot.

โค๏ธ Support Ongoing Development
If this package made your setup cleaner, your lighting smarter, or saved you a pile of debugging time, consider supporting future development.
Coffee, hardware, testing time, and late-night debugging all add up. Your support genuinely helps keep new ideas turning into real releases. โ
