ToneForge supports MIDI Learn for real-time control of effect parameters using external MIDI controllers.
- Go to Settings > MIDI Learn and enable MIDI support
- Connect your MIDI controller (USB OTG or Bluetooth, if supported)
- Long-press any effect parameter (slider/knob) to enter MIDI Learn mode
- Move a control on your MIDI device to map it to the selected parameter
- The mapping is saved and will persist for future sessions
You can manage and clear mappings in the MIDI section of the settings.
Note: Requires a compatible MIDI device.
- Real-time control: Map any effect parameter to MIDI controllers
- Persistent mappings: Settings saved between sessions
- Multiple controllers: Support for various MIDI devices
- Automation integration: MIDI controls work with the automation system
- Enable MIDI: Turn on MIDI support in settings
- Connect device: Plug in or pair your MIDI controller
- Enter learn mode: Long-press any parameter control
- Map control: Move the desired MIDI control
- Verify mapping: The parameter should respond to MIDI input
- Repeat: Map additional parameters as needed
- Ensure your MIDI device is compatible with Android
- Check USB OTG support on your device
- Verify MIDI permissions are granted
- Restart the app if mappings don't persist
See Automation for MIDI integration with the automation system.
