To obtain a butterfly net with commands, use /loot give @s loot greenery:items/butterfly_net
When right-clicked with the butterfly net in your mainhand, while looking at a butterfly, will drop the butterfly in item form. The butterfly net's distance is the same as block placing and breaking in survival.
