Windows x64 self-contained build of Ultimate CAN Scanner — no .NET runtime install required.
This release is a ZIP, not a single .exe. It bundles a small 32-bit helper for the Tactrix
J2534 bridge (see below), which has to sit in aj2534hostfolder beside the app. Unzip the whole
folder and keep it together.
New in v0.2.5
- Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 support (J2534). Tactrix ships only a 32-bit PassThru driver
(op20pt32.dll), which this 64-bit app can't load directly. It now reaches it through a bundled
32-bit bridge host: pick the J2534 adapter, choose OpenPort 2.0, and connect — RX/TX,
decode and gauges work as with any backend. Any other 32-bit-only J2534 driver works the same way;
64-bit J2534 drivers still run in-process. The device list shows each driver's mode
(e.g.op20pt32.dll — 32-bit (via bridge)). - Live Gauges: "only signals with data in log". A new gauge-panel checkbox hides CAN IDs and
signals that have no data in the loaded log, so the checklist and gauges show only what the capture
actually contains. Requires a log loaded; off by default.
Adapter backends
Ixxat VCI4, OBDX Pro (USB/WiFi/BLE), any generic SAE J2534 PassThru device (64-bit in-process
or 32-bit via the bridge), and GVRET / ESP32RET (USB serial or WiFi TCP).
Install / run
- Download
UltimateCanScanner-win-x64.zipand unzip it. - Run
UltimateCanScanner.exefrom the unzipped folder — keep thej2534hostfolder next to it
(only needed for 32-bit J2534 drivers like Tactrix; harmless otherwise).
Notes: 64-bit only. The Ixxat backend needs the HMS Ixxat VCI driver; J2534 backends need the
vendor's PassThru driver installed (Tactrix: the OpenPort 2.0 drivers).
