Superseded by 1.14.1. Download the extension from that release.

Tableau Language Support 1.13.0 adds editing for packaged .twbx workbooks. Use Edit Workbook XML to open the embedded workbook and save it back into the package, or apply calculation, palette, theme and formatting edits through the sidebar and chat tools. Bundled data and images are preserved.

New commands save a copy (including unsaved XML), open it in Tableau, compare against backups and restore previous versions. Calculation diagnostics now check confirmed type and aggregation mistakes, and Quick Fixes rank spelling suggestions and preserve surrounding formula text.

Validation: CI passed on Windows, Linux and macOS. 996 unit tests, 44 deterministic tests, TypeScript checks and 37 checks in a real VS Code extension host passed. The final VSIX was tested and installed locally. A round trip through Tableau's bundled Superstore package preserved all archive entries and assets. Native Tableau loading still requires completing the local Desktop sign-in; XML/ZIP integrity checks do not certify Tableau rendering or connection availability.

Install the attached VSIX using Extensions: Install from VSIX. Marketplace publication is tracked separately because the publisher service previously timed out.
