• Fix language setting not taking effect — The long-standing issue where changing language in Settings had no effect is now fully resolved. Root cause: .NET ResourceManager could not find satellite assemblies in the Languages\ subfolder used by the WiX installer. Added AppDomain.AssemblyResolve handler + Resources.Culture assignment.

• GPU encoding auto-fallback — When CUDA/AMF hardware encoding fails, automatically retries with libx264 software encoding. No user intervention needed.

  • GPU 编码自动回退 — CUDA/AMF 硬件编码失败时，自动用 libx264 软件编码重试。

• FFmpeg graceful termination — Cancel button now sends q to ffmpeg stdin for graceful shutdown, with 3-second timeout before force kill. Prevents zombie ffmpeg processes.

  • FFmpeg 优雅终止 — 取消按钮先通过 stdin 发送 q 优雅退出，3 秒超时后才强制终止。

• FFmpeg stderr logging — All ffmpeg output is now saved to %LocalAppData%\FileConverter\Logs\ for each conversion job. Makes diagnosing conversion failures much easier.

  • FFmpeg 日志落盘 — 每次转换的 ffmpeg 输出保存到 %LocalAppData%\FileConverter\Logs\，方便排查转换失败。

• Animated WebP → GIF preservation — Animated WebP files now retain all frames when converting to GIF (previously only the first frame was kept).

  • 动图 WebP → GIF 保留动画 — animated WebP 转 GIF 时保留所有帧（之前只保留第一帧）。

• 'AI素材' preset group — New right-click preset folder for AI image upload: outputs JPG/PNG/WebP with max 4096px resolution and high quality (85), ensuring files stay under 10MB.

  • 「AI素材」预设组 — 新增右键菜单预设，输出 JPG/PNG/WebP，最大 4096px，Quality 85，确保文件不超过 10MB。

• Default language: Simplified Chinese — First launch defaults to zh-CN. Language change triggers automatic app restart.

• Simplified Chinese translations completed — Added 8 missing hardware acceleration mode strings.

🛡️ Installer Improvements / 安装器改进

• Auto-close FileConverter before install/uninstall — Uses CloseApplication to terminate running FileConverter.exe, preventing locked file errors.

  • 安装/卸载前自动关闭程序 — 防止文件被占用导致安装失败。

• Clean uninstall — RemoveFolderEx removes all leftover files on uninstall, not just MSI-tracked ones.

  • 完整卸载 — 卸载时清理所有残留文件。

• Settings corruption backup — When Settings.user.xml is corrupted, automatically backs up as .corrupted.bak before offering to reset.

  • 设置损坏备份 — 配置文件损坏时自动备份，再提示重置。

• Update URL points to fork — Auto-update now checks this fork's releases instead of the original repo.

  • 更新地址指向 fork — 自动更新现在检查本 fork 的 releases。
