We are working on implementing the ability to filter API results according to specific criteria. Following are examples of the filter options that have been implemented so far.
Filter by Employee Type
There are currently 3 different "employee types" in the directory; they are "Faculty", "Staff" and "Expert" (at the time of writing this documentation, there are not any employees associated with the "Expert" employee type). If you request a list of employees within a specific department (wp-json/types/relationships/v1/department/employee) or employees within a specific building (wp-json/types/relationships/v1/building/employee), you can limit that list to display only employees associated with a specific employee type by adding the employee_type parameter.
For example, in order to query a list of all faculty in the College of Business, you would use a query that looks something like:
That query would return a list of up to 50 employees (the per_page parameter) that belong to the College of Business (the slug parameter) and are associated with the Faculty employee type (the employee_type parameter).
