Craftwire 0.8.0

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 08 Oct 22:10

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.8.0.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.8.0.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.8.0.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New: videos

  • record films the game client with its sound and saves an MP4, encoded by your ffmpeg (winget install Gyan.FFmpeg, brew install ffmpeg or sudo apt install ffmpeg; the tool tells you when it is missing).
  • Presets from max (60 fps, best quality, for editing) through high (default) and balanced (fast and light) to light (720p, small files for Discord). fps, resolution, codec (h264 / h265), crf, speed and audioBitrate can each be set on their own.
  • Camera moves for videos: camera {action:"orbit"} circles a point while facing it, camera {action:"path"} flies smoothly through keyframes, optionally always aiming at one point. Pass one as record's camera and it starts with the first frame; wait:true returns the finished video.
  • HUD hidden by default (open menus stay visible), chat optional; the Craftwire indicator is never in the picture. A recording running when the game closes is finished into a playable file.
  • Guide: docs/video.md, also served as craftwire://docs/video. The minecraft-promo-shots skill now covers videos.

Fixes

  • client_process {windowSize} now really draws at that size on 26.3: hidden windows kept drawing at 1280×720.

Craftwire 0.7.2

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 07 Oct 14:40

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server). Fixes for 0.7; see 0.7.0 for what is new in 0.7.

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.7.2.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.7.2.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.7.2.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

Fixes

  • A hidden client (client_process) never moves your mouse cursor: hovering a menu item in a hidden game used to move the system cursor on Windows.
  • profile samples at a slightly varying interval, so it can no longer keep step with the tick and miss work that happens at the same point of every tick.
  • trace: one trace at a time per game. Flight Recorder merges the filters of running recordings, so a second trace used to report the first one's methods too; it now answers ALREADY_RUNNING (trace several methods at once with ;).
  • client_eval: games running different agent versions no longer fight over the script engine's jar in ~/.craftwire/lib; a config/craftwire.properties that cannot be read keeps scripts off instead of on.
  • Resources: instance names with spaces or other special characters work in craftwire://instances/<name>/….

Craftwire 0.7.1

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 07 Oct 13:04

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server). Same features as 0.7.0; see it for what is new in 0.7.

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.7.1.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.7.1.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.7.1.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

Changed

  • The MCP registry entry is io.github.UXPLIMA/craftwire (the registry matches the GitHub owner's spelling exactly).

Craftwire 0.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 20:19

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.7.0.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.7.0.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.7.0.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New

  • profile: samples a server's tick or a client's frame and names whose code uses the time: each plugin or mod, the listener and the event it handles or the scheduler task, the hot methods, and the tick times (average, p95, the slowest ticks). Mixins count for the mod that injected them.
  • trace: times every call of a named method without changing any code (Java Flight Recorder method tracing): call counts, average and worst times, the slowest calls' stacks and the callers.
  • client_eval: JavaScript on a client, like server_eval on a server. GraalJS is downloaded on first use and every jar is checked against a sha256 list; turn it off with allow-eval=false in config/craftwire.properties.
  • Bots find their own path: move_to walks around walls, up steps, down drops, through doors and gates, up ladders and through water, never into lava or fire. path:false keeps the straight line. New actions: break_block (real dig time; says which plugin refused), jump, sneak, sprint, drop, swap_hands.
  • MCP resources: the connected games, each game's log, a client's chat and a fresh screenshot, the grouped exceptions and the docs, with update subscriptions. Prompts: test_plugin, debug_lag, write_scenario, setup.

Changed

  • move_to finds a path by default and waits up to 30 s (was a straight line and 10 s). Scenarios that relied on a bot getting stuck at a wall should pass path:false.

Craftwire 0.6.1

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 18:18

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server). Fixes for 0.6.0; see 0.6.0 for what is new in 0.6.

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.6.1.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.6.1.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.6.1.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

Fixes

  • client_process on Linux without a display: a 26.3 client now opens its window under Xvfb. From 26.3 the game asks for an sRGB-capable OpenGL visual that Xvfb does not offer, and it waited forever instead of exiting; the hub now runs it through EGL. Needs apt install xvfb libegl1 libegl-mesa0.
  • The extension API is distributed as a jar on this page (JitPack could not build it); docs/extensions.md shows how to use it with Gradle and Maven.
  • The Fabric mod development skill explains the same EGL setting for your own client game tests on 26.3.

Craftwire 0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 17:01

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.6.0.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.6.0.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.6.0.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New: Minecraft 26.3

  • One jar of each runs on 26.2 and 26.3: it picks the right code for the game it is loaded into. Every build checks that everything the jars use exists in every supported version.

New: scenarios, plugin tests as JSON

  • Bots run commands and click menus; checks wait for the message, the block, the item, the HUD line or the event that should follow.
  • A failed check reports the expected and actual values, plus what the bots saw, which events fired and which exceptions were logged at that moment.
  • Run them from the AI with scenario_run, or in CI with npx craftwire test --server <dir> --junit report.xml. See docs/scenarios.md.

New: events and exceptions

  • events records Bukkit events, your plugin's own included: what fired, with which values, whether it ended up cancelled, and which plugins listen to it.
  • exceptions groups the stack traces of the server and the clients into distinct bugs, with a count and the plugin and line to blame.

New: wait_for on the server

  • Waits for a block, a player near a point, an item count, a chat message, an event or a JavaScript expression, checked every tick on the server. A timeout reports the last value seen.

New: your own tools (craftwire-api)

  • A Paper plugin (through the services manager) or a Fabric mod (through the craftwire entrypoint) adds tools that appear next to the built-in ones, run on the game thread, and are removed when the plugin is disabled.

New: world_render

  • Draws a region as an image on the server, no client needed: a map from above, a floor plan at one height, or a front view, with a coordinate grid and players marked. Never generates chunks.

New: singleplayer worlds for mod development

  • client_process with world opens a singleplayer world instead of joining a server, or creates one (flat, void or normal; creative with cheats by default; replace starts fresh every run).

New: npx craftwire serve, MCP over HTTP

  • Several AI clients share the same game and server, an AI on another machine can connect (--allow-remote, TLS), and --read-only / --tools limit what is offered. Every request needs a bearer token; Host and Origin are checked; requests are rate limited. Listens on 127.0.0.1 by default. See docs/http.md.
  • While it runs, npx craftwire test on the same machine runs its scenarios through it.

Other changes

  • hud_read reads the sidebar, tab list and below-name lines the way the game draws them (team prefixes and suffixes, tab header and footer, list and below-name scores), and bots read their own HUD with bot_action hud_read.
  • A HUD packet a bot cannot apply no longer breaks its connection.
  • Protocol additions are listed in protocol/PROTOCOL.md (M6).

Craftwire 0.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 13:09

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.5.0.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.5.0.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New: client_process, the AI runs its own client

  • The hub starts a Minecraft client itself, with its window hidden and in offline mode, and joins the dev server started by server_process. Every client tool (screenshot, gui_read, input, …) then works without you opening the game.
  • Craftwire's own launcher: Minecraft and Fabric come straight from Mojang and Fabric, every file is checked against its published sha1, and your .minecraft is never touched. First start downloads about 250 MB; later starts take about 10 seconds and also work offline.
  • mods loads extra jars next to the agent, e.g. the Fabric mod you are building, or Sodium.
  • Needs a dev server with online-mode=false, and Java 25+ (JAVA_HOME or PATH). On Linux without a display it runs under xvfb-run.
  • You still need to own Minecraft Java Edition; offline mode is for local testing, the same model as Fabric's development client.

Other changes

  • The agent mod can start with a hidden window (-Dcraftwire.hidden=true) and answers client.quit.
  • Client agents report their game directory to the hub (protocol unchanged; older hubs ignore it).
  • The test server for the Paper integration tests runs on peaceful.

Craftwire 0.4.2

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 12:00

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.4.2.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.4.2.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New since 0.4.1

  • npx craftwire setup <client> connects Codex, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and Claude Desktop.
    • It adds or updates only the craftwire entry and backs the config up as .bak.
    • It writes the cmd /c npx form on Windows.
    • For Codex and Gemini CLI it also installs the Craftwire skills.
    • --dry-run shows the change without writing it. Plain setup lists the clients it finds.
  • docs/clients.md has the manual config for every client.
  • A new README with screenshots that Craftwire took itself.
  • craftwire doctor hints no longer assume Claude Code.

The mod and the plugin have no changes beyond the version number; 0.4.1 jars keep working with this hub (same protocol).

Craftwire 0.4.1

Choose a tag to compare

@siracozmen01 siracozmen01 released this 06 Oct 10:55

Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.4.1.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.4.1.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • The Claude Code plugin: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.

New since 0.3

  • Bots: bot_spawn, bot_action, bot_remove. Server-side fake players chat, run commands and read the replies, walk, use items and blocks, attack, and read and click plugin menus or their own inventory.
  • The camera override now renders what is in front of the override camera, in vanilla and with Sodium. Before, terrain behind the player was missing.
  • Screenshots wait until the visible terrain is built. chat:false keeps chat lines out of HUD shots. A .jpg savePath writes a full-size JPEG.
  • world_query region returns run-length runs by default.
  • Large world edits load chunks in batches.
  • plugin_deploy notices a server running without the Craftwire plugin.
  • Hub disconnects and refusals are logged where users see them.
  • A new fabric-mod-dev skill.
