Craftwire for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 (Fabric client, Paper server).

Install

  • craftwire-agent-fabric-0.6.0.jar: put it in your Fabric 26.2 or 26.3 profile's mods/ folder, next to Fabric API.
  • craftwire-paper-0.6.0.jar: put it in your Paper 26.2 or 26.3 server's plugins/ folder. Development servers only.
  • craftwire-api-0.6.0.jar: the API for adding your own tools from a plugin or mod (compileOnly, see docs/extensions.md).
  • Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add uxplima/craftwire, then /plugin install craftwire@uxplima.
  • Other AI clients: npx craftwire setup <client>.

New: Minecraft 26.3

  • One jar of each runs on 26.2 and 26.3: it picks the right code for the game it is loaded into. Every build checks that everything the jars use exists in every supported version.

New: scenarios, plugin tests as JSON

  • Bots run commands and click menus; checks wait for the message, the block, the item, the HUD line or the event that should follow.
  • A failed check reports the expected and actual values, plus what the bots saw, which events fired and which exceptions were logged at that moment.
  • Run them from the AI with scenario_run, or in CI with npx craftwire test --server <dir> --junit report.xml. See docs/scenarios.md.

New: events and exceptions

  • events records Bukkit events, your plugin's own included: what fired, with which values, whether it ended up cancelled, and which plugins listen to it.
  • exceptions groups the stack traces of the server and the clients into distinct bugs, with a count and the plugin and line to blame.

New: wait_for on the server

  • Waits for a block, a player near a point, an item count, a chat message, an event or a JavaScript expression, checked every tick on the server. A timeout reports the last value seen.

New: your own tools (craftwire-api)

  • A Paper plugin (through the services manager) or a Fabric mod (through the craftwire entrypoint) adds tools that appear next to the built-in ones, run on the game thread, and are removed when the plugin is disabled.

New: world_render

  • Draws a region as an image on the server, no client needed: a map from above, a floor plan at one height, or a front view, with a coordinate grid and players marked. Never generates chunks.

New: singleplayer worlds for mod development

  • client_process with world opens a singleplayer world instead of joining a server, or creates one (flat, void or normal; creative with cheats by default; replace starts fresh every run).

New: npx craftwire serve, MCP over HTTP

  • Several AI clients share the same game and server, an AI on another machine can connect (--allow-remote, TLS), and --read-only / --tools limit what is offered. Every request needs a bearer token; Host and Origin are checked; requests are rate limited. Listens on 127.0.0.1 by default. See docs/http.md.
  • While it runs, npx craftwire test on the same machine runs its scenarios through it.

Other changes

  • hud_read reads the sidebar, tab list and below-name lines the way the game draws them (team prefixes and suffixes, tab header and footer, list and below-name scores), and bots read their own HUD with bot_action hud_read.
  • A HUD packet a bot cannot apply no longer breaks its connection.
  • Protocol additions are listed in protocol/PROTOCOL.md (M6).
