Commands

Every command MoreSparkles adds, grouped by who they're for. All commands live under the /sparkles root.

Note

Permissions use the Fabric Permissions API, so they work with LuckPerms and other permission mods. Without a permission mod, "Everyone" commands are available to all players and "OP" commands need operator level 4.

Player Commands

Command Permission Default Description
/sparkles boost status sparkles.boost.status Everyone Shows your active boosts.
/sparkles boost status global sparkles.boost.status.global Everyone Shows the server's active global boosts.
/sparkles check-queue sparkles.checkqueue Everyone Shows your queued boosts.
/sparkles check-rate <type> sparkles.checkrate Everyone Shows your current rate or multiplier for a boost type, with every source combined. See Check Rate.

Note

/sparkles boost itself needs sparkles.boost (default: Everyone). If you take that permission away, players lose access to /sparkles boost status as well.

Admin Commands

Boost Management

Command Permission Default Description
/sparkles boost start <type> <multiplier> <duration> <unit> <players>
/sparkles boost start <type> <multiplier> <duration> <unit> global
sparkles.boost.start OP Starts a boost for the player(s), or for the whole server. See Start.
/sparkles boost stop <type> <players>
/sparkles boost stop <type> global
sparkles.boost.stop OP Stops the active boost of that type. The next queued boost of that type starts right away.
/sparkles boost status <player> sparkles.boost.status.others OP Shows another player's active boosts.
/sparkles check-queue <player> sparkles.checkqueue.others OP Shows another player's queued boosts.
/sparkles check-queue global sparkles.checkqueue.global OP Shows the server's queued global boosts.
/sparkles clear-queue <type> <players>
/sparkles clear-queue <type> global
sparkles.clearqueue OP Clears the queued boosts of that type for the player(s), or for the server. Active boosts are not affected.
/sparkles check-rate <type> <player> sparkles.checkrate.others OP Shows another player's rate or multiplier for a boost type.

Start

  • <type> is a boost type ID in UPPERCASE, such as SHINY or SPAWN_BUCKET. See Boost-Types.
  • <multiplier> is any number of 1 or more, such as 2 or 1.5. The EV and Berry types round it down to a whole number.
  • <duration> is a whole number of 1 or more.
  • <unit> is seconds, minutes, hours or days.
  • <players> accepts a player name or any selector that resolves to players, e.g. @a or @r.

Examples:

/sparkles boost start SHINY 2 1 hours global
/sparkles boost start EXPERIENCE 1.5 30 minutes Steve
/sparkles boost start IV 3 1 days @a

Note

Giving a boost to @a gives each online player their own separate player boost. It's not the same as a global boost: players who join later won't get it, and it won't pause player boosts or post to Discord.

If the target already has an active boost of the same type, the new boost is queued when allow_queued_boosts is true in Config.json, or replaces the active boost when it's false.

Boost Areas

Command Permission Default Description
/sparkles area info sparkles.area.info OP Shows the boost area you're standing in.
/sparkles area info <id> sparkles.area.info OP Shows the boost area with that ID from Boost_Areas.json. Tab completion lists every area ID.

/sparkles area itself needs sparkles.area (default: OP).

Other

Command Permission Default Description
/sparkles reload sparkles.reload OP Reloads Config.json, Messages.json, Items.json and Boost_Areas.json, and reconnects the Discord webhook.

Important

/sparkles reload can't add or remove charm items: those are registered when the server starts, so a new charm in Items.json needs a restart. So does a change to a charm's lore. Changing an existing charm's boost type or multiplier works with a reload.

Check Rate

/sparkles check-rate <type> sends the message for that type from check_rate_messages in Messages.json. By default it shows:

Type Shows
SHINY Base shiny rate and the player's effective rate.
HIDDEN_ABILITY Multiplier and the chance per spawn.
IV Multiplier and the strength toward perfect IVs.
ALPHA Multiplier and the chance of an Alpha spawn bucket.
SPAWN_BUCKET Multiplier and the chance of each spawn bucket.
Everything else Multiplier.
