V9.3
Quick follow-up to V9.2 - a crash fix, plus internal cleanup and a real speed-up in the Software Requirements checker from a code review.
Fixes
- A crash switching to "Specific" song mode on a fresh install. If you hadn't downloaded any songs yet (still on "Everything"/AUTO) and switched the main window's mode to "Specific," the song picker could crash with an unhandled exception. Fixed.
- The Software Requirements dialog now appears instantly instead of pausing for up to a second first. Its startup scan was measured at ~850-1000ms of dead time before the window even showed up; that work now happens after the window appears, and a repeated internal check that used to re-scan from scratch each time is now ~3x faster on its own.
- Assorted internal robustness cleanup from the same review (shared install-orchestration code across the GUI and console, data-driven requirement detection instead of hardcoded per-item logic, a few small perf/duplication fixes) - no other visible behavior change.
Upgrading from V9.2?
Just extract this zip over your existing install folder (or delete everything except config.txt first, then extract) - your settings carry over automatically.
Getting started
- Download
LegacyDownloaderV9.3.zipbelow and extract it anywhere. - Double-click
LegacyDownloader-GUI.bat. - Follow the on-screen setup - or open the tutorial for a full walkthrough.
Requirements
Windows with PowerShell 5.1 (built into every modern Windows install). Nothing else to install - rclone.exe ships inside the zip. (Or Linux with PowerShell Core + rclone on your PATH - console only, no Requirements checker there yet - see the README's "Running on Linux" section.)
