Every file here installs over 1.0.0 and keeps your settings and subscriptions. If Android says "App not installed", uninstall first.
Fixed
- The connection after a disconnect is no longer slower. Two separate causes: a full server sweep used to start the instant the tunnel went down, so a reconnect raced it — and the timings a server is chosen by were measured in that traffic. And the reconnect lost this phone's memory of which servers are good here, because the network could not be identified while Android still held the old VPN network open.
- Disconnect stays disconnected. A core that reported itself running just after a deliberate disconnect was being adopted as a live tunnel. It is now stopped.
- No VPN key in the status bar while searching. Each candidate used to bring up a real tunnel to be tested. They are now checked through a local proxy, and Android is only asked for a VPN interface once a server has passed.
New
- Update check. Settings → Check for updates asks GitHub for the newest release and opens the file that matches your phone in your browser. Nothing is downloaded or installed by the app. It also asks once at launch when a new version exists, and does not ask again for a version you declined.
- An event log that survives. Diagnostics keeps a record on the device — connections, failures, network changes, crashes — including everything from before the app was last closed, with one button to copy it. It never leaves the phone unless you send it.
Changed
- Live speed reads with direction arrows, a fixed unit and a half-minute graph.
- Ping has its own card, with what the number means; the protocol card now carries the healthy-server count.
- Before you connect, the map shows your own address and country; connected, it shows where your traffic comes out.
