Changes in v1.0.16 for ERR:

  • Fixed marker names showing as ?PlaceName? (a v1.0.15 regression in
    how game text banks are read under ERR's loader).

Changes in v1.0.16 for the vanilla and Convergence builds:

  • More resilient label reading: a missing or unreadable DLC text bank
    (e.g. an install without the DLC) is skipped instead of breaking
    marker labels.

v1.0.15 - Fixes + Convergence build

v1.0.15 is the first release of the Convergence build — ~7200 icons
generated from The Convergence's own game data (built against 2.2.3.1),
including its relocated loot, new bosses and reworked zones.

Changes in v1.0.15 for the ERR and vanilla builds:

  • Defeated NPC invaders now get the kill checkmark on their markers
    (all quest invaders covered; after the Sellen/Jerren confrontation
    both markers complete, whichever side you took).
  • Invader markers that sat away from the actual fight were moved to
    where the fight happens (e.g. the Knight of the Great Jar duels).
  • Removed phantom treasure markers for loot the game never awards
    (corpses with two bound treasures only drop the last one).

Changes in v1.0.15 for the vanilla build:

  • Fixed missing boss names and zone labels on Shadow of the Erdtree
    markers (texts are now read from the DLC text layers).
  • Two gathering nodes in Altus that were wrongly hidden are back.

v1.0.14 - Fixes + Vanilla build

v1.0.14 is the first release of the vanilla build.

Changes in v1.0.14 for ERR:

  • Marker location names are far more precise: icons now resolve their
    actual sub-area (e.g. Siofra Aqueduct vs Siofra River) using the
    game's own zone volumes.
  • The INI maintains itself: created if missing, new options are added
    automatically after updates, your existing settings are kept.
  • Fixed collected-state tracking for paired gathering nodes that share
    a name.
  • Removed some phantom markers (golden runes that don't exist in-world,
    nodes buried in unreachable terrain).
  • A separate build for the vanilla game is now available!

  • F10/gamepad hotkey toggles all map icons with an on-screen codex banner;
    F9 marker dump shows a confirmation banner
  • Fix Seamless Co-op hosting crash (16-align injected param row-locator table)
  • AOB-resolve the tutorial-popup trampoline so it survives game updates
  • New show_merchant_bell_bearings toggle (off by default)
  • Exclude unreachable markers (displaced Fort of Reprimand grace, sunken loot)
  • Repo cleanup: move one-off research scripts/outputs into gitignored scratch/

I tried to automate everything that can be extracted from the game files.
Also removed all the custom text - the mod now reuses existing in-game strings. So if you were using the fmg patcher before - better restore the original ERR files. Patching shouldn't be needed anymore.
Material nodes like Arteria Leaf, Trina's Lily etc now also disappear from the map once you pick them up.
Reworked the icons and added some new ones - so you need to install the new 02_120_worldmap.gfx file too (addons folder)
But I only tested Limgrave properly. Barely touched the DLC area - I didnt reach taht area in my current run.
In the new ini everything is off by default except Rune/Ember Pieces - that way right after install you can see the mod is actually working.
If someone planning to make bug reports - set enable_marker_dump = true in the ini. Press F9 in-game and itll dump beacon coords (the blue ray markers on the map) plus nearby icons to a file in a log dirrectory.

  • Fixed category filter bug: disabling unrelated categories no longer hides Rune Pieces.

INSTALL:
Copy dll/ and addons/ into your ERR folder.
Launch through ERR as usual.

Settings: edit dll/offline/MapForGoblins.ini
Toggle individual icon categories on/off.
