VoidReality v4-USER-TESTS
VoidReality is a desktop full body tracking server and app for imu VR trackers, built on the SlimeVR server. It turns the orientation data from body worn IMU trackers into a full body pose and feeds it into SteamVR, into VRChat over OSC, and over VMC.
It is tuned for mostly one goal: Maximum accuracy, Less yaw drift, fewer recalibrations, and a body that stays where it should.
This is an edited and rebranded build of the SlimeVR server, not the SlimeVR project itself.
Install
- Download
VoidReality-win-x64.zipbelow and extract it anywhere. - Install a Java runtime, version 17 or newer, if you do not have one.
- Run
VoidReality.exe. Have SteamVR installed for VR output.
The first launch sets up the SteamVR driver. Connect your trackers to the app once so it knows your boards.
What is different from stock SlimeVR
- Monochrome interface: A clean black and white theme is the default, with the app renamed and reskinned throughout.
- Drift that learns: Every tracker measures its own yaw drift, and the server learns how each one drifts as it warms up, building a per tracker drift versus temperature curve that persists across sessions. A known tracker starts a session already knowing its warm up drift, so its correction is right from cold and you reset less over time. The estimate ignores one off slips and only trusts sensible reset intervals.
- Smarter Stay Aligned: Yaw correction scales to each tracker's measured drift, holds its baseline through brief movements, and pauses its centering force when you are not upright so lying down no longer scrambles the legs.
- Fallback tracking: A tracker that dies or is switched off mid session is replaced by an estimate from its neighbors instead of the limb vanishing, with the leg hung from the pelvis so a dropped knee still bends.
- Emulated trackers: Estimate extra tracking points, chest, waist, knees, feet, and elbows, from the trackers you do have, out over SteamVR and VRChat OSC.
- Adaptive filtering: Smoothing eases off as you move faster and tightens up on a flaky link, and prediction can use the firmware's own measured angular velocity.
- Network page and live diagnostics: Per tracker 2.4 GHz signal, ping, packet loss, update rate and health, a session connection log, and an always on block of real numbers, plus a per tracker drift stability readout, so you can tell a tracker problem from a WiFi problem.
- Reset reminder: A quiet nudge on the home screen when a tracker has likely drifted enough to be worth a reset, based on its own measured behavior.
- Extra: And a few other extra features with more to come!
Requirements
Windows, a Java runtime 17 or newer, and SlimeVR compatible trackers or anything that speaks the same protocol.
