Normal Operator Flow

For day-to-day use, the typical order is:

  1. open the dashboard
  2. confirm the tracked satellite list and next passes look correct
  3. verify the desired frequency profile for the currently selected satellite
  4. verify RX, TX, and rotator enable states
  5. let autotrack manage the next pass, or manually select a different target
  6. monitor live tracking, frequencies, map position, and rotator behavior during the pass
  7. use the satellites page when you want to change which satellites are included
  8. use the monitor page when you need to inspect logs, refresh behavior, or data-source issues

High-Level Page Purposes

  • Dashboard
    • live operating page
    • pass list
    • live tracking
    • radio and rotator control surface
  • Satellites
    • choose which satellites are tracked
    • inspect frequency profiles
    • inspect known upcoming passes for one selected satellite
  • Map
    • large current-location map for all of the chosen tracked satellites
  • Monitor
    • backend log view
    • refresh visibility for TLE and transponder events
  • Settings
    • station, device, control, and safety configuration

When to Use Each Page

  • Use Dashboard while actually operating
  • Use Satellites when building or adjusting your tracked satellite list
  • Use Map when you want a cleaner visual of current positions
  • Use Monitor when behavior is unclear or data refreshes need verification
  • Use Settings when hardware or site configuration changes
