Primary Support Channel

For bugs, install issues, feature requests, and hardware integration reports, use the GitHub Issues section for the project.

Before Opening an Issue

Gather the following if possible:

  • what page or feature failed
  • what device type or role was involved
  • whether the device was local serial or network controlled
  • what you expected to happen
  • what actually happened
  • screenshots if the failure is visible in the UI
  • relevant monitor-page output or service logs
  • the result of any RX, TX, or rotator test button used
  • whether an automation script was involved

Useful Diagnostic Information

The following is especially helpful:

  • Pi model
  • operating system
  • browser used
  • radio model
  • rotator model
  • SDR/control path used
  • relevant config section values, excluding anything sensitive
  • systemctl status pi-sat
  • journalctl -u pi-sat -f

Scope of Support

This is not my day job, but simply a hobby. This software is working for me and I decided to share it as well, so I hope you enjoy. I am happy to try to help as I can, but understand that I am not hitting refresh on the issues page all day in the event a new post is made. Keep that in mind and I will keep an eye on things as often as I can!
