Monitor Page

The monitor page is the operational log and status page for Pi-Sat.

The monitor page is intended to show the most recent backend events that matter to operating and troubleshooting.

Typical entries include:

  • TLE refresh attempts
  • TLE refresh success or failure
  • transponder refresh attempts
  • transponder refresh success or failure
  • backend errors
  • device-related warnings

Why This Page Exists

The monitor page gives the operator immediate visibility into what the backend is doing without forcing a shell session or log tail for every question.

This is useful when:

  • passes are missing
  • a TLE source is failing
  • a refresh did not behave as expected
  • profile data looks stale

How to Use It

Use the monitor page when the GUI does not match your expectations and you need to know whether the backend:

  • refreshed data
  • failed to refresh data
  • saw a device/control issue
  • generated a useful warning or error
