QuotaPin 2.0.0-beta.2

This prerelease continues the 2.x placement work on the v1.2.1 stability baseline. It does not replace v1.2.1 as Latest and never enters QuotaPin's stable in-product update feed.

  • Place quota in four verified surfaces: the account row, title center, workspace top, or above the composer. The inconsistent composer-side experiments have been retired and migrate safely to the account row.
  • Hold anywhere inside the visible quota surface. The panel follows that real surface, and the original account row no longer keeps a hidden QuotaPin hold target after quota moves elsewhere.
  • Drag modules at every supported position with the same exact pointer tracking, collision avoidance, neighbour spring, and left/center/right/module magnets used by the account row.
  • Choose the account or composer quota line directly on the same work-surface map.
  • Optionally show recent account-wide burn pace and estimated runway. The independent estimator uses only official remaining-percentage history, resets calibration at quota renewal, and waits for enough time and movement before reporting a value.
  • Keep preview cohorts explicit: beta packages are installed by exact version and do not discover later betas through automatic or manual update checks.
  • Migrate schema 18 configuration to schema 19 without enabling the new forecast modules or changing an existing stable placement.

The reviewed public assets are QuotaPin-2.0.0-beta.2.exe and QuotaPin-macOS-2.0.0-beta.2.dmg. The local Windows gate passed 312 tests, built the guided package, and completed a setup-owned beta.1-to-beta.2 update while preserving the running Codex root process, saved profiles, tray ownership, and quota-ready state. The tagged workflow independently rebuilds and verifies both platform packages before this prerelease is published.
