MCD2 Crossover 0.1.0
Startup and Xbox sign-in fixes for Minecraft Dungeons II on Apple Silicon Macs with CrossOver.
Changes
- Repaired Steam startup and prerequisite checks.
- Corrected network request framing and the Xbox sign-in route, addressing the causes of 0060, 0063, 0064 and 0020 confirmed during testing.
- Fixed Visual C++ detection for registry casing and Wine builtin DLLs.
- Added saved sign-in with background renewal and macOS Keychain storage.
- Added Play, Sign Out, Close Window and Change Bottle to the home screen.
Install
Requires CrossOver, Windows Steam and an existing Steam copy of Minecraft Dungeons II.
- Download MCD2-Crossover-0.1.0-arm64.dmg below and drag the app into Applications.
- Open MCD2 Crossover, choose the Steam bottle, read the Microsoft license and click Set Up. Complete Microsoft's installer if it opens.
- Click Play and complete Microsoft sign-in. Leave the code window open until it closes automatically.
Setup restarts Steam and backs up replaced files. Saves and controller mods are preserved. No Terminal commands required.
After the first sign-in, launch directly from Steam; MCD2 Crossover does not need to stay open. Open the app to sign out, change bottles or retry sign-in. Changing bottles runs setup for the new bottle and keeps the saved Microsoft sign-in.
Troubleshooting
For startup prompts, repeated Visual C++ Repair, sign-in errors or a stuck game, see the troubleshooting guide.
Tested
Tested on an M5 Pro with CrossOver 26.3: launch into the game, setup in a second bottle, and direct Steam launch with MCD2 Crossover closed.
Limitations
Installing Visual C++ where it is missing, longer sessions, multiplayer and other Macs remain untested. Apple Silicon and the Steam version only. The app is not notarized.
Sign-in uses the game's own Microsoft app ID, not one registered for this tool. Microsoft could block that route, so use it at your own risk.
