DW2-PC v0.1.0
First release of the Digimon World 2 PC port: the decompiled PS1 game code built as a native
Windows and Linux program. Classic single player, played like the PS1 version.
You need your own copy of the game. The downloads contain no game data. On the first start
the port checks your disc image (USA, SLUS-01193, raw .bin/.cue, .img or raw .iso) file by file
and builds its data pack from it.
Downloads
DW2-PC-windows-x64.zip: Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit. Unpack, put your disc image next to
dw2.exe, start it.DW2-PC-linux-x64.zip: Linux x64. Needs SDL3 3.4 or newer and glibc 2.43 or newer (built on
Ubuntu 26.04). On older systems, build from source.
What is in it
- Render scale 1x to 8x, 16:9 widescreen (wider camera, not stretched), no wobble (precise
vertices, perspective-correct textures), optional sharpening. - GPU renderer (SDL_GPU) with a software fallback; windowed, borderless and exclusive
fullscreen. - Intro, story and ending movies with sound; streamed CD audio (battle voice lines, DNA scene).
- F1 settings window: graphics, key and gamepad remap, left stick as D-pad, volume.
- Gamepads, full keyboard play, two players for VS mode.
- Saves are memory card files; raw cards from DuckStation, PCSX-Redux or ePSXe load as they are.
- F12 screenshots (PNG) in a
screenshotsfolder next to the program. - Esc asks before quitting.
Known limits
- No full playthrough has been checked yet. Please finish the game and report anything that
crashes or plays differently from the PS1 version:
https://github.com/Wyrelade/DW2-PC/issues - The Linux build needs a recent distribution (see above).
Licenses
The port is CC0 1.0. It ships SDL3 (zlib license) and Dear ImGui (MIT license, notice in
