DW2-PC v0.1.7
Smooth frames: the game now looks fluid on 60, 144 and 240 Hz monitors.
You need your own copy of the game. The downloads contain no game data. Updating: v0.1.4 and
newer update themselves at start (Update now); older versions: unpack over the old folder, your
saves, settings and data pack stay.
New
- Smooth frames. DW2 runs at 30 frames per second. The picture is now drawn at your
monitor's refresh rate and blended between two game frames: walking in the city, moving
through the domains and the battle camera (the opening spin, the moves between fighters, the
wireframe Digimon) move fluidly.- Graphics only: the game itself runs exactly as before (same logic, timing and random
numbers). The picture is one game frame behind. - Camera cuts stay cuts. Menus, text, the HUD and effects that appear or fade are shown as the
game draws them. - On by default. F9 or F1 (Display tab) turns it off; the setting is saved. Needs the GPU
renderer (the default); with the software renderer nothing changes. - Other scenes (title, menus, VS battles, the Digimon status model) are shown at the game rate
as before.
