Longstrider spell cost

I can’t find anything written about this. Longstrider is a ritual spell, but it costs a spell slot for everybody who can learn it. The ritual tag is not there.
Unless you learn it through the wizards ritual adept or the ritual caster feat. Then the tag is there, and doesn’t cost a spell slot.
Is this a bug? Is this a purposeful feature? If so why remove the ritual tag?

(I am also on console, I don’t know if this is a feature on PC)
