Changes
- No more single grey frames during races. Now and then the screen flashed flat beige-grey for one frame, with only the Kinect icon visible. A HUD sprite that the game parks far off screen, with coordinates around 10^9 and sometimes around 10^25, was occasionally drawn across the whole screen; the console's GPU never shows it. Such out-of-reach sprites are now dropped. The rest of the HUD is unchanged.
- New diagnostics (off by default):
SFR_FLAT_FRAME_TRACEsaves frames that come out nearly one colour, together with the draws behind them.SFR_STALL_MSrecords where each game thread is while no frame is being shown, to track down a rare stall of about two seconds that a player reported. It has not reproduced here yet.
The white flash when a menu changes page, and the brief blue frame as a race starts, come from the game itself.
Validation
- Tests: CTest 141/141; Python tests pass (299 run, 11 skipped because they need game files).
- Grey frames: an instrumented desktop race showed 4 to 10 grey frames per race before the fix and none after it.
- Windows package: completed race checks on D3D12 (Frozen Forest) and Vulkan (Dolphin Resort), with isolated saves and the shipped defaults.
- Linux package: passed a Vulkan startup smoke test in WSL.
- Android: the APKs keep the existing signing certificate and 16 KB-compatible libraries; they were not raced on a device.

Known limitations
- A rare stall of about two seconds has been reported but not yet found.
- The known limitations of v0.5.0 still apply: lighting not compared with the Xbox 360, split-screen two-player and full Grand Prix progression not verified with the new runtime, no camera motion inference on Linux or Android, and performance that varies by device.
