Choose a tag to compare

@ZvanTors ZvanTors released this 01 Oct 01:31

🎉 GoodByeDPI GUI v1.1.0

A major update focused on UI modernization and core stability.

✨ What's New

🎨 Modern Dark UI

  • Complete redesign with a Catppuccin-inspired dark theme
  • Card-style grouped sections with rounded corners
  • Custom-styled buttons: green Start / red Stop
  • Status indicator with colored dot (● Running / ● Stopped)
  • Header bar with app title + version badge
  • Custom scrollbar & styled tray menu

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Critical: Fixed crash caused by calling QMessageBox before QApplication was created
  • Fixed: Duplicate "stopped" log entries when stopping the process
  • Fixed: Version detection regex (previous lstrip incorrectly removed version digits)
  • Fixed: Custom arguments were being lost when switching modes
  • Fixed: Race condition between QProcess.start() and finished signal

⚙️ Improvements

  • Window size & position are now saved and restored automatically
  • QProcess errors (FailedToStart) are now handled gracefully
  • Migrated from deprecated stateChanged to toggled signal
  • Extracted constants (TASK_NAME, version parser) for cleaner code
  • Better error messages for admin privilege requirements
  • Silent update-check failure (no more noisy errors when offline)

📥 Installation

  1. Download goodbyedpi_gui.exe from the assets below
  2. Right-click → Run as administrator
  3. Select a mode and click Start

⚠️ Requirements

  • Windows 10/11 (x64)
  • Administrator privileges (mandatory)
  • goodbyedpi.exe must be in the same folder

  • One‑click start/stop with the recommended -6 circumvention mode
  • Support for -5 (general) and custom GoodbyeDPI arguments
  • Option to run automatically on Windows startup (Task Scheduler)
  • Real‑time output log

📦 Download

GoodByeDPI GUI.exe
(Attach the EXE file to this release)

  • Works on Windows 10/11 (64‑bit)
  • Requires administrator privileges (requested automatically on launch)

⚙️ How to use

  1. Download the EXE from the assets below.
  2. Run it – accept the UAC prompt.
  3. Choose a mode (-6 recommended) and click Start.
  4. Open your browser and visit the blocked site.
