Building from Source

Building the EXE from Source

If you want to compile the executable yourself:

Prerequisites

• Python 3.8 or higher
• Required libraries:

  pip install pyside6 pyinstaller
  
  

Download goodbyedpi.exe, WinDivert.dll and WinDivert64.sys from the latest GoodbyeDPI release and place them in the project folder.

A logo.ico file (optional).

Build Steps

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/ZvanTors/GoodByeDPI-GUI.git

cd GoodByeDPI-GUI

Copy the GoodbyeDPI files and the icon into the same folder.

Open a Command Prompt (or PowerShell) in that folder and run:

pyinstaller --onefile --windowed --uac-admin --name "GoodByeDPI GUI" --add-data "goodbyedpi.exe;." --add-data "WinDivert.dll;." --add-data "WinDivert64.sys;." --add-data "logo.ico;." --icon=logo.ico goodbyedpi_gui.py

The output will be located at dist\GoodByeDPI GUI.exe.
